About The Georgian Condos

The Georgian Condos is a new mid-rise condominium development by Stafford Homes and The Goldman Group in Toronto. This pre-construction project is located at 227 Gerrard St E, on the eastern side of Downtown Toronto in the transforming Cabbagetown neighbourhood. The Georgian Condo is going to have ample space for amenities both on the inside and out. This condo project will also increase the retail in the region due to its commercial retail units that will face out toward Gerrard Street. The Georgian Condos is a 7 storey mid-rise condo and it will encompass 107 units, which will be divided into one-bedroom units, two-bedroom units, and three-bedroom units. The units will range between 601 – 1,255 square feet and most will feature their own private balconies or vast private terraces. Amenities will include fitness centre, yoga & stretching studio, indoor and outdoor lounges, rooftop terrace, and more. Each suite at The Georgian Condos will provide maximum light and space with open-concept living and views of the city right outside your window. Ceilings will rise between 9-10’ tall and the floors will be laminate. There will be a total of 9,526 square feet of retail space facing out toward Gerrard Street East on the ground floor, and it will be divided into three commercial retail units. This project will also include a great deal of parking, totaling 89 parking spaces, 81 of which will be allocated to residential use. According to the Cabbagetown Preservation Association, this is the largest contiguous area of preserved Victorian housing in North America, but there are more condos coming to the region. It scores a 92 on its Walk Score and a perfect 93 on its Transit Score. The Georgian Condos is on the southern side of Gerrard Street East, and it will take up an entire city block in between Seaton Street on the west and Ontario Street on the east. To the north, there’s existing low-rise residential housing, to the east there’s more low-rise residential housing along with a small convenience store, more low-rise residential housing to the south, and low-rise service buildings to the west. The transit in the neighbourhood is great as well. There are streetcars that careen down Carlton Street, just one block away. These streetcars travel directly to College or Queen’s Park Stations, both of which connect to Line 1 Yonge-University. This subway line loops around the Financial District and stretches up to North York. It also connects to Line 2 Bloor-Danforth in only two stops, so the entire city is at your fingertips.
